The spatial solution for housing this complex relational network was to provide a large empty living space, the agora, which is both interior and exterior, consisting of common student spaces, interior courts and roof terraces, which becomes the guideline for organizing the entire building.
The intervention on the facade can be described by three major stages: detaching the outer brick layer on the ground level, identifying the rhythm and the original character of the facade of the ground level and restoring the elements in the original spirit of the building.
The project comprises a set of interventions on a building integrated in the historical area of the city, targeted upon the outer shell of the building as well as on the interior, with the reconfiguration of some apartments and of the courtyard.
The current project is aiming to restore the specific characteristics of architecture and to reconfigure the flooring of the square to create an appropriate setting for the monument.
